General Admission Tickets

This show will feature the major contemporary artists and outstanding innovators now shaping new futures for craft. The theme is New Directions: new directions in design and production, ways to embrace sustainability, use of new materials and technologies, and more. 

  • 120 outstanding jury-selected artists
  • Special exhibit of work by Smithsonian Visionary Award winners David Ellsworth and Michael Hurwitz and Delphi Award winners Steven Young Lee and Roberto Lugo
  • Special exhibit of Next Generation craft art by secondary school students from Alexandria High School, Holton Arms, Landon School and Wilson High School
  • Panel discussion “The Transformative Power of Craft” with award-winning artists, moderated by Nora Atkinson of the Renwick Gallery. Thurs. April 21, 1:00 pm

Admission: April 21-23, 2022, 10:30 am-5:30 pm & April 24, 2022, 11:00 am-5:00 pm

Tickets are $13 each and limited to CCW Members. (May add Guest tickets.)  (This is a special group rate. Regular tickets are $22.79.) (Tickets may be used once during these four days.)

Smithsonian COVID-19 Guidelines:  

  • Wearing a mask is required at all times when not actively eating or drinking. Social distancing is encouraged. Visitors who do not adhere to safety policies and guidelines may be asked to leave.   
  • The Smithsonian reserves the right to modify its hours of operation, capacity, and visitor guidelines as circumstances require. The museum may deny entry or access to any person who fails to follow these guidelines or whose conduct puts Smithsonian staff, visitors, or property at risk.
