Join fellow Cornellians and friends for an intimate dinner at Ambar DC in the Capitol Hill Eastern Market neighborhood. Ambar is the first Balkan, cuisine of Serbia, in the DC area and has been recognized by the esteemed Michelin Guide in 2018, received Diner’s Choice 2018 recognition from Open Table, and was winner of the 2018 RAMMYs, presented by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW).
Balkan cuisine includes many dishes; among them cured and roasted meats, yogurt sauces, savory cabbage krauts & smokey paprika and vegetarian options as well. Ajvar (Serbian roasted red pepper condiment), kajmak (clotted cream) & urnebes salata are traditional accompaniments. Curious? Register and we’ll look forward to seeing you to try these & other culinary adventures.
Each attendee is responsible for the cost of his or her own food and drink. Space is very limited to only 6 people so please register early. If you cannot attend, please contact Katherine Stifel no later than Monday December 17 so another can take your place.
