Professor, Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations President, Labor and Employment Relations Association
Harry Katz is one of the most distinguished thinkers in the field of labor relations. Please join us to hear Prof. Katz discuss new trends in collective representation, such as rights campaigns and associational representation, as well as growing union involvement in workplace restructuring and healthcare benefits. As LERA President, Prof. Katz will also talk about LERA’s evolving role in promoting professional dialogue and helping local chapters.
Harry is currently the Jack Sheinkman Professor of Collective Bargaining and Director of the Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution at the ILR School and served as its Dean from 2005-14. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1977.
