Join CCW and A Wider Circle in the efforts to end poverty by helping families transition out of shelters into homes “with dignity and hope." Volunteers will work in AWC’s Center for Community service, stocking and organizing donated furniture and household items and assisting clients in selecting items. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, although children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants: Up to 15 volunteers may attend this event. Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes, and long pants are recommended. Teen volunteers (ages 14 and up) accompanied by parents or guardians and with a signed parental waiver are welcome:

Metro and Parking: Volunteers can park in the neighborhood behind the facility or the school next door. AWC is also metro accessible: a 15-minute walk from the Forest Glen station (there is a walkway under the freeway) or a 20 minute walk from the Silver Spring station.
