Join the Cornell Club of Washington and the Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) on Saturday, April 23rd to celebrate Earth Day!

Our goal is to have at least 30 CCW members roll up their sleeves, help clean-up the Anacostia River Watershed, and have a great time.  Volunteer tasks will consist mainly of light manual labor, including plant care, removal of invasive species, mulching, and more. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing. Gardening gloves will be provided by AWS, but you are to bring your favorite gloves with you! The more, the merrier -please feel free to bring family and friends.

This year, we will be working at Fort Dupont. The after party will be held at RFK Stadium.

o    Registration: 8:30am - 9am

The Celebration will be held at RFK Stadium. The celebration will feature notable speakers, live music by local bands, as well as local exhibitors.  It promises to be a great time and a good chance to connect with other environmental initiatives in the DC metro area.
