Join the Cornell Club of Washington and the Anacostia Watershed Society (AWS) on Saturday, April 25th to celebrate Earth Day!

Our goal is to have at least 35 CCW members roll up their sleeves, help clean-up the Anacostia River Watershed, and have a great time.  Volunteer tasks will consist mainly of light manual labor, including plant care, removal of invasive species, mulching, and more. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing. Gardening gloves will be provided by AWS, but you are to bring your favorite gloves with you! The more, the merrier - please feel free to bring family and friends.

We will be working in Bladensburg, MD and there will be a post-cleanup celebration with free food and drinks at Bladensburg Park lot sponsored by AWS partner Seafarers' Yacht Club.

The Celebration will be held at Bladensburg Waterfront Park, the same location as the clean-up event.
