Alexander Hamilton and the 10th Amendment

Thursday Jan 12 20126:30 pm

The Columbia University Club of Washington DC, the Columbia Law School Association, and Barnard in Washington cordially invite you to join us for a truly memorable evening in the new year.

Our annual Alexander Hamilton Dinner on January 12th will feature both Robert McCaughey, Janet H. Robb Professor of History at Barnard College, and Trevor Morrison, Isidor and Seville Sulzbacher Professor of Law at Columbia Law School, in a lively discussion about the legacy of Alexander Hamilton from his own time to the present. Focusing on his views on the Constitution, constitutional federalism, and the 10th Amendment, they’ll compare and contrast other opinions of the period before examining the same issues through the lens of current constitutional challenges, including those to the Obama healthcare legislation.
