Ivy Singles Social Club Holiday Party

Friday Dec 4 20096:30 pm

The Stanford Club of Washington D.C. invites you to the Ivy Singles Social Club Holiday Party! Our venue is the elegant, historic DACOR- Bacon House (built 1824-25), home to several Supreme Court Justices and a Maryland governor. U.S. Congressman from New York, Robert Low Bacon and his wife, Virginia Murray Bacon, lived in the house until 1980. Upon her death Virginia bequeathed the building and furnishings as a memorial to her husband.   The DACOR- Bacon House and Foundation now serve as a “place to facilitate international peace and understanding” as well as a conference and meeting place for Diplomatic and Consular Officers, Retired (DACOR).

Wear your festive party apparel! Each floor of the DACOR-Bacon House will be beautifully decorated for the holiday season. We will feast on scrumptious hors d'oeuvres and will serve libations from a cash bar. In the spirit of the season, we also ask that guests bring a non-perishable food item to donate.  Stanford will deliver the collected food to a local D.C. food pantry.
