Friday Oct 2 20097:00 pm

Wear red to cheer on Cornell as the Big Red Sprint Football team takes on Navy at Rip Miller Field on the grounds of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis.

Cornell's Sprint Football team went undefeated (6-0) and won the CSFL championship in 2006. The Big Red are bringing a strong team to Annapolis. Navy is a perennial power in the league known since 2003 as the Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL).

Cornell's program and league membership date back to 1937..  Sprint football (once known as lightweight football) emphasizes speed and agility. Since 2005 players must maintain a weight of 172 lbs or less.
