Old Rag Hike XLVII

Cornell alumni, undergraduate students, and fam- ily and friends met near Sperryville, VA, for our 47th hike at Old Rag Mountain in the Blue Ridge. For a welcome change, this was the first Old Rag hike in two years that did not need to be postponed due to rain. On this day, the weather was perfect: clear blue skies, not too hot, not too chilly, and plenty of beautiful vistas.

Thirty-six people came out for the event. Twenty-one alum- ni were joined by six Cornell in Washington undergraduate students and nine friends and family members. Big thanks to alums and guests who drove carpools for the day: Eliot Greenwald '73, Mike Canino JGSM '99, Josh Novikoff '03, Drew McElhare '98, Samantha Sedlik '03, and Jeremy Lo.

Our next hike will be in September 2009. The date will be posted on the Club's website during late spring or early summer and announced via e-mail in August.
