Evening at the Finnish Embassy · Save the date
The CCW’s April 15th reception at the Embassy of Finland showed us the finest this hospitable country offers. Its embassy is an architectural gem set among the woods of Rock Creek Park, and visitors enjoyed a light meal of, among other delicacies, smoked herring, salmon, and reindeer canapes.
Ambassador Lintu gave a brief presentation and took questions on Finland’s relations with the US, as well as its activities in environmental sciences and the state of its diverse industrial base. Afterwards, Embassy staff--including the Minister for Trade and the Minister for Cultural Affairs--circulated among the attendees, discussing Finnish music, film, tourism opportunities, and even the road rallies for which Finland is justly famous.
CCW thanks the Ambassador and the Embassy staff for their gracious welcome.
