International Spirit of Zinck’s Night 2008

Thursday Oct 16 20086:00 pm

Come join your old Cornell friends of all classes—and make some new ones—at Zinck’s Night in the nation’s capital!

Theodore Zinck was a saloonkeeper in Ithaca and his pub, the Hotel Brunswick, was a popular gathering place for Cornellians in the 1890s. After his death in 1903, several bars using his name continued to provide a haven for students. When the last “Zinck’s” closed in the mid-60s, celebrating the spirit of Zinck’s became a favorite Thursday night Collegetown tradition of undergraduates.  It wasn't long afterwards that Cornellians continued the tradition in their hometowns.

Zinck's Night is the premier Cornell alumni event to catch up with old friends and welcome new alumni to the area.  Don’t come too late - we’ll have light appetizers available til they run out, and RFD’s food specials run til 7pm. Drink specials include $3 Miller Lite and Sam Adams drafts and $3.50 Beer of the Day until 8pm.
