One Ivy Night Tennis Night with the Washington Kastles
There will be a One Ivy tennis night with Washington Kastles on Thursday July 17 in a match with the Sacramento Capitals.
The Kastles who play in the World Team Tennis League are owned by Mark Ein, a graduate of Wharton, and Harvard Business School. The Coach is Thomas Blake, an All-American player at Harvard who played on the professional tour after graduation. We will get to meet Coach Blake.
The Kastles will provide a private tent which will be available to our members throughout the match. They will sell us discounted tickets.
People can eat before coming or buy food and drinks from a concessions stand which features gourmet summer fare made to order, including sushi, mini-burgers, salads, fajitas, and fries.
The format for WTT is two men and two women per team, playing a total of five matches with five games to win. The order is Mixed Doubles, Women's Singles, Men's Singles, Women's Doubles and Men's Doublets. The team with the most games won wins the match.
Doors open at 5:15; Matches begin at 7:00 pm, end by 10:00pm.
The Stadium is located where the old Convention Center used to be near 11th and H Streets NW.
