CCW Annual Dinner featuring Carl Leubsdorf ’59
Catch up with area alumni, hear Club President Kim Jones '98 MBA '02 deliver the Club’s annual report, recognize the outgoing and incoming club leadership, and enjoy a presentation from a local Cornell celebrity at the Cornell Club of Washington's Annual Dinner. A cocktail hour (cash bar) will start the evening, followed by dinner and the keynote speaker, Carl Leubsdorf ’59.
About Carl Leubsdorf
Carl Leubsdorf ’59 is presently the Washington bureau chief of The Dallas Morning News, a position he has held since 1981. He is also the current President of the Gridiron Club and former president of the White House Correspondents Association.
He is a graduate of Cornell University and Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism, Before joining The Dallas Morning News, he worked for The Associated Press for 15 years, the last three as its chief political correspondent, and was a White House and political correspondent for The Baltimore Sun. He covered Congress for 12 years and the White House for 20 years. He has covered every president since Dwight D. Eisenhower and every presidential election since 1960.
