The Next Generation of Leadership: Investing in Education and Health for Economic Empowerment
The Brown Club of Washington, DC and the Network for the Improvement of World Health (Network), in conjunction with the Tanzania Embassy to the US , present an evening of education and entertainment.
The First Lady of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Salma Kikwete, and founder of the WAMA Foundation will speak about creating opportunities to improve women and children’s social and economic status through education and health initiatives in Tanzania. The Founder of Network, Kaakpema Yelpaala (Brown ’02), will unveil a trailer of a documentary film that features the work of the WAMA Foundation.
In addition, Grammy-winning recording artist, Will Calhoun will perform. Please join development, education and health experts, friends of Tanzania , and the Brown Community of Washington, DC for an evening of education, networking and fun. The event is free, but RSVP is required.
Network, a U.S. based partner organization of the WAMA Foundation, is hosting the First Lady of Tanzania and representatives of the WAMA Foundation in conjunction with the Tanzania Embassy from April 2 through 10 in New York City and Washington, DC.
