Ivy Singles Plus tour of National Gallery
Fran Kelleher (Yale Club) is coordinator of this event. The ISP hosts, Gail Massot and Shalom Fisher, will meet you at the outset and guide you to the meeting spots in the museum.
The event features two fabulous National Gallery exhibitions—Hopper and Turner—plus a private tour guide. The Hopper, a stunning collection, is the first comprehensive exhibition of the artist’s works presented outside New York in 25 years; the exhibition will be seen elsewhere only in Boston and Chicago. The Turner is the most comprehensive exhibition of the work of the artist, heir to the old masters and heralded as “the Shakespeare of landscape,” ever presented in the United States. The exhibition will be seen elsewhere only in Dallas and at the Met.
An art scholar will provide commentary on the Hopper and a guided tour of the Turner. The Turner tour will be led by Anna Marley, Henry Luce Foundation Dissertation Fellow and Ph.D. Candidate, Art History, University of Delaware.
