Your Cornell club is pleased to announce a special luncheon highlighting Cornell's new programs worldwide known as AWARE--Advancing Women in Agriculture through Research and Education.

AWARE is an initiative to ensure that gender is considered in all of the activities of Cornell CALS'  International programs (IP-CALS), including sponsored and academic programs. Focusing on women as an under-served group holds great potential to make significant impact in rural development.

Prof. Sarah Davidson Evanega, Senior Associate Director of International Programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will be describing the principle features of this rapidly growing initiative both on campus as well as in the developing countries where CALS is active.  She will be joined by Jehiel Oliver, (MS AEM '14) who will speak about Micro-Financing for women's business ventures in Sub-Saharan Africa.
