Overview: Help to celebrate Earth Day and improve our environment by participating in a tree care event at Fort Dupont Park! Casey Trees and the Cornell Club of Washington are partnering to perform an Earth Day event.

Volunteers will engage in light manual labor, mostly consisting of removing invasive plants and adding mulch to trees.  On-site instructions and supervision will be provided. This is a good event for families with children.

This event will accommodate up to 20 volunteers. Interested persons should register here on the CCW website

Special Instructions: Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes, and are encouraged but not required to bring their own gardening gloves. Please note that this is a WEEKDAY even

Directions: Pennsylvania Ave to Minnesota Ave, then take a left. Travel 0.5 miles, turn right onto Randle Circle. Enter Fort Dupont Drive (last exit on the rotary). Detailed directions are available at: http://www.nps.gov/fodu/planyourvisit/directions.htm
