If you've ever come up with a great idea for a product, device or a logo that you think others would like to buy, but didn't know what the next steps were for you to take, then now is your opportunity to understand the keys to protecting your creativity. The Cornell club of Washington, DC will be hosting a networking event for entrepreneurs and creative people who want protect their ideas to maximize their marketability. This event will provide you with the basics on whether you should apply for a patent or trademark and how the process works for obtaining rights to you intellectual property. In addition, the discussion will provide the basics on how to discuss your great idea with venture capitalists and others while at the same time maintaining protection for those ideas.

Duration: 45 min. Talk. Followed by questions.

The building is located in Old Town Alexandria across the street from Whole Foods, near the USPTO building.
