Two rare episodes of the popular serial film "Beatrice Fairfax" will have a screening at the historic & beautifully restored 91-year-old Avalon to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of movie making in Ithaca and the Sesquicentennial of Cornell University's Charter. We will also be honoring the contributions of the late Ed Berkowitz ‘56 as a past president and long time General Counsel of CCW, as well as his role in rescuing & restoring the Avalon. Live music will be provided by world-renowned silent film accompanist Donald Sosin and vocalist Joanna Seaton, Cornell '71. Presenter will be Aaron Pichel, Cornell '85 and Law '98, film historian from Ithaca, who wants to give everyone a chance to see early films with live music in an authentic setting from the 1920s.
