Welcome

The Cornell Club of Washington (CCW) offers engaging programs and activities for alumni, students, parents, and friends of Cornell University in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Message from the CCW President

Hello fellow Cornellians, and welcome on behalf of the Cornell Club of Washington!

At times, Cornell and Ithaca may seem like a world (or about six hours and 350 miles) away. But the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area is home to one of the largest populations of Cornellians outside of New York State. In fact, there are almost 9,000 Cornell alumni in the National Capital Area. Alas, no Hot Truck. Nonetheless, the Cornell Club of Washington exists to serve this community, through events and programs developed to foster friendship, enrichment, scholarship, and community service among alumni, students, parents, and friends of Cornell.

In addition to a full calendar of social, cultural, educational, and networking events, the Club offers active admissions, scholarship, and community service programs, designed to promote and support the values and goals of the university in the greater Washington area.

Membership and participation in the Cornell Club of Washington provides you an opportunity to meet and connect with fellow Cornellians in the metropolitan Washington, DC area, to learn something new, to give back to others, and to keep in touch with your alma mater. On behalf of the Club’s elected officers and directors, I invite you to get involved in our Club’s activities and take advantage of the many incredible benefits the Club has to offer.

As we enter the 2008-2009 academic and membership year, the Cornell Club of Washington—already one of the largest regional Cornell alumni organizations anywhere—embarks upon a goal of reaching the 1,000 member mark. We are close. But only you can get us there. We hope that you will join us.

Thanks and hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,

Kim Jones ’98, MBA ’02

PS: Come join us at a Board meeting, the second Tuesday of each month (except July and August) at the Cornell Center (1341 22nd Street, NW) at 7:30 PM.
