The Jacobs Technion-Cornell Innovation Institute presenter

Carol Epstein is a second-generation Technion supporter who was inspired by her late parents Miriam and Louis Benjamin, who co-founded the Sarasota Technion Chapter.  Active in the ATS since the early 1990s, she has served on the National Board of Directors since 2008, and currently also serves on the Technion International Board of Governors. A Technion Guardian, she was awarded a Technion Honorary Fellowship in 2009 in recognition of her long-standing leadership on both the local and national levels, and in 2012 was awarded ATS’s highest honor, the Einstein Award.  Carol earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, and she is a former president and active life member of the Cornell Club of Washington, a life member of the Cornell University Alumni Council, and a member of the Library Advisory Committee. She started her career as an education writer, publishing books on education. Years later, she embarked on a second career as a lawyer, earning her J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1984. She worked for the U.S. State Department until retiring in January 2011. 

Iron Dome presenter
Lt. Col. Nataly Tavor is the Liaison Officer for the Israel Missile Defense Organization. In this capacity she is in charge of the bilateral relationship between Israel and the US missile defense program. Lt. Col. Tavor previously served as the head of Budget and Control Department within the IMDO Planning, Budget and Control Division, where she was in charge of multiyear budgetary planning and execution of four US - Israeli Cooperative Active Defense programs - AWS (Arrow 2 and Arrow 3 programs), David Sling Weapon System (DSWS) and Iron Dome. In this capacity, she was involved in establishment and execution of Joint Cooperative Program Agreements between the United States (MDA) and Israel (IMDO), including Co-Production agreements.  Lt. Col. Tavor earned a B.A. in Economics and Management from the TECHNION-Israel Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University.
