Adour (in the St. Regis Hotel)

Transportation: 2 blocks from Farragut North (red line), 2 blocks from McPherson Square (blue and orange line); on street parking

Ranked in the top 10 of Washingtonian's top 100 restaurants for 2013, join fellow Cornellians for a small dinner in Adour's last week open. After over 5 years as a staple in DC, Adour is closing on May 31st.

From the Washingtonian review:

Adour is overseen by Alain Ducasse, the many-Michelin-starred French chef and presents, among many things, stellar desserts (plus gratis macarons andgougères), a gorgeously lit, banquette-lined dining room, one of the area’s best wine lists, and two passionate, approachable sommeliers to guide you through it.

Don’t miss: Seared foie gras; “lobster cookpot” with fingerling potatoes in a creamy lobster reduction; cheese plate; baba, an airy, apricot-glazed cake doused in Armagnac and dolloped with whipped cream; whiskey croustillant, a boozy sundae-like dessert with chocolate and caramel.

Entrees: $30-$40
